Kennesaw State University (KSU) is a 4-year University of Georgia institution located in Kennesaw, Georgia, a suburb on Atlanta’ s northwest side. It was established in 1963 as Kennesaw Junior College with an enrollment of 1,000 students. In 1976 the name was changed to Kennesaw College as it became a 4-year institution. It was renamed Kennesaw State University in 1996.
